Mitmita is a powdered seasoning mix. It contain African bird’s eye chilli pepper, korerima (Ethiopian cardamom), and salt. Mitmita has an intense flavor but is also very hot and spicy and should be used in small amounts.
It is usually used to season Kitfo and other beef based entrees. A light sprinkling of Mitmita in your soup or chili will give it an extra kick when you feel cold inside in midwinter or when you are miserable all over with a cold no matter the weather
