How to prepare your listings for marketing

The most important part of marketing your listings is creating listing that will convert views into sales. 

Tips for optimizing your listings:

  1. – Keep titles short and sweet.
  2. – Describe your items accurately.
  3. – Use clear, enticing product photos.
  4. – Price competitively.
  5. – Clearly communicate purchasing details like shipping timelines, rates, and options.

 

Osbisy Ads campaigns

You can use Osbisy Ads to expand your reach and advertise your products in Osbisy search results.  Using Osbisy’s data insights and expertise, we’ll help identify the right places and times to show your ads on Osbisy so you get the most visits for your budget. 

To set up Osbisy Ads:

  1. 1. Login to Osbisy.com, click the Your Account, then click Go to Vendor Dashboard
  2. 2. Click Subscription
  3. 3. Switch your plan of subscrption that includes Ads
  4. 4. Follow the steps to complete.
  5. 5. Click Osbisy Ads
  6. Set your daily budget. This should be the maximum amount you’re willing to spend to advertise your items per day. The default minimum daily budget is £1.00. Remember that you can change your budget at any time.
  7. Click Start advertising.

Offsite Ads

Osbisy advertises listings throughout the web, including in search engine results and social media apps like Facebook. Osbisy offers this service with no upfront costs to you: you only pay an advertising fee when you make a sale.

Social media

Using social media is a powerful way to market your shop and reach more shoppers. Osbisy’s Social Media tool allows you to quickly share important updates, milestones, or promotions happening in your shop to sites like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest from your computer.

Share any of these types of updates from your shop:

  1. – Latest listings you’ve added (up to 25 of your most recent listings) 
  2. – Recent milestones successes, like a shop birthday 
  3. – Active or upcoming sales and coupons 
  4. – 5-star reviews 
  5. – Items you’ve favorited 
  6. – Shop updates 

 

To link your social media accounts to your shop:

  1. Login to Osbisy.com, click the Your Account, then click Go to Vendor Dashboard
  2. 2. Click Settings
  3. 3. Click Social Profile.
  4. 4. Click on the social media platform you want to connect to your shop and follow the login in instructions.
  5. 5. Enter your URL 
  6. 6. When you are done, click Update Settings.

You can also share listings directly from your shop to your social media accounts. This is a great option for sharing new products, special promotions, or marketing your products to potential new customers. 

 

Coupons and sales

Offering discounts in your shop is a smart marketing tactic that can help bring new shoppers in and retain customer loyalty. Strategic promotions might encourage new customers to buy, entice shoppers to spend more than they usually would, or even clear out old inventory. Learn more about effective strategies for Coupons and Sales. 

To set up a sale or coupon:

  1. 1. Login to Osbisy.com, click the Your Account, then click Go to Vendor Dashboard
  2. 2. Click Products
  3. 3. Hover over on the item, Select Edit from listing you’d like to offer a sale. 
  4. 4. Scroll down, enter Sale Price under your Regular price and you can also schedule the date the item will be available for sale.
  5. 5. Specify which type of discount you want to offer:
    • Run a sale: Offer free shipping or taking a percentage off of a listing’s price. Shoppers will see your items on sale across relevant search results and on your shop’s homepage.
  6. 6. Once you are done, click Save Product.

 

To set up a coupon:

  1. 1. Login to Osbisy.com, click the Your Account, then click Go to Vendor Dashboard
  2. 2. Click Coupons
  3. 3. Click Add New Coupon.
  4. 4. Specify which type of discount you want to offer:
    • Send offers to interested shoppers: Send a coupon to shoppers who have added your item to their cart but haven’t purchased or recently favorited an item from your shop.
    • Create a coupon: Share a coupon with specific shoppers or on different social channels.
  1. 5. When you are done, Click Create Coupon.
