How to Offer Personalised Listings

On Osbisy, you can help your buyers personalise items by turning on Personalisation from the products page. Personalisation helps buyers let you know what they want to be personalised on an item, like an engraving or pattern.

You can also offer listing variations, like colour or size.

You can offer an engraving services.

 To enable personalisation for a listing:

  1. 1. On Osbisy.com, click the Your Account, then click Go to Vendor Dashboard
  2. 2. Click Settings
  3. 3. Click Addons.

How to enable personalisation for listings

To enable personalisation for a listing:

  1. 1. From Addons, Scroll down to Offer gift messages.
  2. 2. Click Create New Addon on the right side of the page.   
  3. 3. You can add product level add-ons by editing a product. 

Setting to offer gift wrapping 

Add-on settings allow you to configure add-ons that apply to all products, or products in selected categories. This includes:  

Setting up “Add field” button to offer gift wrapping

  1. Step 1: Type Name: Used to differentiate add-ons from one another, this is not displayed on the website. By default, this is filled in for you.
  2. Step 2: Enter Priority: Specify the order in which to display, if there is more than one add-on activated. An add-on with priority 1 would be above an add-on with priority 10.
  3. Step 3: Select Product Categories: Set to All products, or choose categories to apply the add-on. Removing the All products tag will deactivate the add-on, which can be handy for seasonal add-ons or time specific add-ons.
  4. Step 4: click Field types,
    1. – Add-on fields are added the same way for both per-product and global add-ons. This panel is found on a new or existing product. To add your first add-on, click the “Add field” button. This will insert a blank add-on:

    1. Step 1: Go to field Type from the top-most select box, Select
    2. Short Text – There are five in-built types. This shows a text field where users can enter either any text; just letters; just numbers; both; or an email address only.
    3.  Step 2: Go to Restriction, Select Any Text.
    4. Step 3: Select the Format the title as a Label.
    5. Step 4: Select Required Field.
    6. Step 5: Select Limit character length. Enter a minimum and maximum value for the limit range.
    7. Step 7: Select Adjust priceAdd a label for each option as well as a price if needed. Calculate the price as a flat fee regardless of quantity, per quantity ordered, or, charge a percentage of the base price.
    8. Step 8: Once you are done, click Publish
  1. Step 5: Save when you are done. Click Publish.

For the buyer, the required personalisation field appears on the listing card with the other options for that listing, like colour or quantity.

When a buyer requests a personalised item, you see the personalisation request on the Orders page and in the email you receive about their order.

Can I disable buyers marking an order as a gift?

You can’t disable a  buyer’s ability to mark an order as a gift. However, if you don’t want to offer gift wrapping or gift message services, you can disable those options.

When a buyer marks an order as a gift, the price of the order is removed from the invoice. You don’t need to take any further action unless you offer and the buyer also selected gift wrap or message services.

To disable offer gift wrapping/message services:

  1. 1. On Osbisy.com, click the Your Account, then click Go to Vendor Dashboard
  2. 2. Click Settings
  3. 3. Click Addons.
  4. 4. Check the listings you want to disable.
  5. 5  Hover over on the listing, click Edit if you want only to disable some categories by removing from Product Categories or Click Delete, if you want completely remove the Addons services.
